It’s a streamlined, USB rechargeable, silicone headlamp that’s so slim and lightweight that you won’t even know it’s there.

As a result of its construction from transparent silicone, when the headlamp is in operation a red halo light effect is created which helps increase your visibility to other road users, making the Quokka Run 150 the perfect running headlamp.

Light and versatile but with a minor defect

This headlight is very light and comfortable to wear and is fairly easy to use the various modes while on the head. However, one of the red LEDS stopped working after two uses. Thankfully customer service was prompt and is supplying me a replacement.

NOT SWEAT OR RAIN PROOF

These headlamps are fabulous… until they aren’t. As a marathon runner, this is the first headlamp I’ve found that is comfortable, lightweight, bright, and does not bounce. However, these lamps have one massive flaw, they are NOT water-resistant, not even close! I have been through 4 of these headlamps in the past 4 months. ALL have broken in the same way. After a really sweaty or rainy run, I will see small water droplets in the actual lamp… then the power button stops working, the light either never turns on again, or I can not turn it off (aka light eventually dies and never turns on again). My last Quokka 150 broke like this on its 2nd use after taking it out for a run
while it was sprinkling outside. Such a shame these are falsely advertised as “storm proof”. I want to like these SO bad (hence buying 3 more after the 1st broke), but I cannot spend $30/lamp to have it break the first time I take it in the rain. This would be a fabulous lamp for working in the garage, but these are NOT built for any kind of vigorous exercise or weather.

My most recent hospice patient pictured below. Power button won’t work… light stuck on this dim glow….. condensation inside…. impending death.

Absolute junk

These headlamps are not worth the money. Had one for about a year, after a run on a humid day it took on sweat and never worked again. Replaced it with a new Quokka 150, after one month it quit holding a charge. Company policy is they won't give your money back unless you have original packaging, the device is able to be resold and it is within 30 days. Decided to just throw it away as going through all the trouble for a $30 headlamp wasn't worth the headache. 0 for 2 in about 14 months. You get what you pay for. These lamps are unfortunately cheap and show it.

Hi Daniel, sorry to hear this has been your experience with Knog. While our 30-day returns policy requires original packaging etc, this sounds like a warranty issue, which we cover for 2 years. Please email [email protected] and the team will see you right.

Good running headlamp

Headlamp works really well for running. Medium intensity setting is plenty to light your way, so battery is solid. Only very minor gripe is it’s increasingly difficult to find a usb a port to charge the thing. Still 5 stars from me.
