The Mount

The Mount Knog Knog

What about the handle-bar cables? No worries. Built into the shape of the mount is a cable management system. So not only does it allow the bell to look and sound uninterrupted, it also helps gather your cables (for the organiser inside us all).

The Look

The Look Knog Knog

The Oi bell’s shape originates from its home – the handle bar. Where bells usually protrude up or out, Oi doesn’t. It appears to hover around the handle bars. In one sense, it’s discreet. But in another, it stands out as unrecognisable.

The Sound

The Sound Knog Knog

With a spring-loaded actuator built into the mount, the strike of the bell is firm and fast, allowing a good balance of volume and longevity of sound. Our bell actually has several pitch tones – one core and several supportive higher tones to ensure it’s unmistakable and safely heard.

The Fit

The Fit Knog Knog

What about getting it on the bar? Just pop it over, give the hex screw a quick tighten up, and you’re good to go. For handlebars measuring 23.8 – 26mm in diameter we have supplied a spacer to help the Oi fit snugly and securely to your bars. This can be found discretely tucked into the reverse of the grey packaging insert.

Anita Ward would be proud (Anita sang ‘Ring My Bell’)

All up I have bought three Oi Classic bells (for three of my bikes) and I couldn’t be happier. Well, I would be happier if I won Lotto and was able to ride my bikes full-time. The Oi is discreet in design yet pumps out out those decibels like a Pearl Jam concert. Watch those pedestrians jump when Better Man belts out as you approach them. They even notice when the Oi Classic politely alerts them of your pending arrival. Do yourself a favour

Compact and effective for those walking without earphones!

A bit annoying

I received my bell and it comes well packaged and appears well designed and made. However, when fitting, I couldn't get it to work, as the spaces left for the brake and gear cables to fit under the collar are at 90 degrees to the striker. My cables come out from under the handlebar tape at the front of the handlebar, meaning that the bell has to be positioned with the striker facing downwards, under the handlebar, making it look ridiculous and difficult to use. It will have to wait until I replace my handlebar tape. It would be great for a flat bar bike though

Hi MJT,

Yes, there can be some intricacies when mounting the Oi, along with most other pieces of precision kit for your handlebar. If you have a section of bar where you can mount the bell without using the cable guides and without the cables resting too firmly on its exterior, this might do the trick until you next replace your bar tape!
