Overview

Bandicoot is different from any other headlamp out there. It’s a streamlined, usb rechargeable silicone headlamp without the bulk, endless batteries and “boring” of conventional headlamps. It is the perfect multi-use headlamp for camping, trail running, hiking, climbing, fishing, reading and pretty much anything else.

Optimally placed LEDs

The 4 sets of LEDs are optimally placed for their individual purpose – a high beam to see by, elliptical beams for broad ambient light, a red light for night/low light and down lights for reading. On the brightest setting, the bandicoot has a range of up to 40 metres.

Matte finish silicone

The bandicoot’s body and strap are moulded in matte finish silicone, that won’t tangle your hair. It’s easy to clean and is adjustable to fit head circumferences from 470- 640mm.

The silicone strap has a nice stretch to it and secures with snap buttons. Once you’ve found your size you can set and forget.

USB Rechargeable

1 Bandicoot battery is equivalent to 650 AAA batteries. Press the button on the back to access the USB. Then recharge with a PWR Bank or directly with your computer or USB wall charger, no charging cable required. The Reading Lights will flash while charging showing the battery level it has charged to.

Multi Modes

There are 5 modes and 4 brightness settings for each mode. Easily toggle between the modes and the brightness levels using the two buttons on the bandicoot. Plus the bandicoot is compatible with the ModeMaker app to allow customisation of the light modes.

25 prototypes before we arrived at perfect

60 design concepts, conceived over 5 years, with 25 prototypes and 250 field testers. To say Knog has reinvented how headlamps look and function, sounds like an understatement.

Bandicoot 100

This is my second bandicoot 100 as I lost my first one. I absolutely love them and have recommended them to plenty of friends. Easy to use and recharge, super light and comfortable to wear!

Sturdy and Easy to Wear

the Bandicoot 100 Headlamp is a geat innovation in the head-torch concept. The long battery life, 4-step brightness, and multiple lamps makes this headlamp exraordinarily versatile. The silicone housing is soft and comfortable for long periods. Charging is simple, although it was a little tricky finding which of my USB chargers will charge it. In the end I found that my generic USB charger won't, but my power bank and Apple chargers will. Why? Maybe it requires a signal on the data lines, not just 5v power. Still worth the money, in fact I was so impressed I bought 4 more Bandicoots for my family members to enjoy. I'm yet to experiment with the other modes available (via a web-connection) but I will!
